Contending is not easy, the fight can be difficult and exhausting at times

Lord, thank you for this day You have made. Thank you for the comfort of Your Word. Thank you for the one reading this at this very moment. Your Word brought my heart strength and comfort this morning, and I pray the same for the one reading this right now. Please be with them and strengthen them. I pray peace for their hearts and joy knowing You are near.

We declare together that indeed, You are our strength and our shield. Our hearts trust in You today, tomorrow and forever. We thank you that You are our help. Our hearts exult! I pray our songs would be pleasing to You, as we give thanks for all You are to us. We love You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen ๐Ÿค

Praying Psalm 28:7 today ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. Psalm 28:7

This prayer was inspired by this week’s verses on fighting the good fight of the faith ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ As I wrote it, every word and every line, I desperately meant.

I need Jesus, I need His presence to truly fight the good fight. I need Him to guide and instruct me, and I need His help as I pursue righteousness, faith, love, steadfastness and gentleness. I need His strength to continue to remain steadfast and to endure. And I need to remember that He is near, and in that promise, I can rest.

I hope this prayer is an encouragement to you as we continue fighting the good fight of the faith together. ๐Ÿค

Fighting the good fight of faith, that is the focus for this week. My hope is that by the end of this week, we will have a greater understanding of how to fight the good fight of the Christian faith. I pray that we would all be encouraged to remain steadfast in truth, strengthened to contend for the faith and inspired to build ourselves up in our most holy faith.

We fight the good fight of faith by pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness and gentleness. We fight the good fight of faith by studying scripture, praying with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and having fellowship with other believers. We learn the history of our faith, why the Bible is reliable and the evidence of our faith, of which there is much!

We are to contend for the true gospel and sound doctrine. There are false gospels and false teachers that are perverting and abusing God’s grace, so we must know the Word ourselves lest we be deceived. We cannot contend for what we don’t know. So we must study, pray, learn and remain in community with our brothers and sisters.

But we must never share our faith with arrogance or pride. For this will defeat the whole purpose and contradict our very beliefs. We share with love and respect and yes boldness but also with gentleness. We can be bold and also kind and respectful at the same time, I think sometimes the church has forgotten this.

Contending is not easy, the fight can be difficult and exhausting at times. But we must remember who stands by us, the Lord Himself. So we will not be shaken. We will be strengthened by our God. For God will stand with us and strengthen us as we fight the good fight, as we proclaim the gospel and the great treasure of Christ. There is no greater fight in this life, truly the most important and most worthy fight of our lives.

Also, I’ve mentioned this previously but I want to continue to encourage you to not only read the Bible verse for the day but also the verses around the verse to gain greater understanding and context of the passage. It’s so helpful and beneficial to do if you can. ๐Ÿค

How often Jesus withdrew to be alone with the Father always encourages and reminds me of the necessity of doing the same. I find it so beautiful, the example of intimacy with and love for the Father.

I pray that I would grow in this area. That I would retreat increasingly more to be with the Father. There is such sweetness thinking that He created us to have a relationship with Him and created us with the ability to pray and communicate and that He indeed listens and interacts with us.

Father, may we be children who yearn to be with You. May our souls long after You. May we withdraw often from the chaos of this world and busyness of this life, to draw near. May we be like Jesus and retreat often to pray, to be still and to commune with You. May we run quickly into Your arms, day after day. ๐Ÿค

And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone. Matthew 14:23

But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray. Luke 5:16

It was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:16
Five bedtime prayers inspired by scripture ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ I love praying His Word, it’s so beautiful and powerful, peaceful and reassuring.

I wrote these five prayers for us to pray at bedtime ๐Ÿ’ซ You can use them as a guide or in addition to your own prayers, you can pray one prayer or pray several of them together - however you feel led. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ•Š

๐Ÿ“– All the scripture references are below:

Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting! Psalm 139:23-24

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings. Psalm 36:7

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. Psalm 86:12

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. When we look at His heavens, the work of His fingers, the moon and the stars, which He has set in place, how can we not wonder how such a majestic, glorious God is mindful of us? How a God whose understanding is unsearchable cares for us? It’s wonderful and humbling, comforting and reassuring. It’s good to think on the greatness of our God, which is what we will be doing throughout this week, beginning in the Old Testament and into the New Testament.

These are a variety of verses, however, as I was gathering and assigning which ones to which days, they began to build upon one another and weave a story for us! Beginning with praising our everlasting God who does not faint or grow weary. We then look at His marvelous works and in humble recognition of our humanity - we ask “what is man that our God is mindful of us?” A gracious, loving God who cares for us.

When we recognize the beauty and glory and kindness of our God, it is our delight to walk in His ways, it is our delight to meditate on his law and cherish His Word, for every word of God proves true.

Then we read the words Jesus spoke in the book of John, who refers to the Scripture, reminding us that through Him our hearts will flow rivers of living water. We move onto the verses in Hebrews that also mention the heart and water, beckoning us to draw near with a true heart that has been sprinkled clean and our bodies washed with pure water, our Living Water.

We are reminded to hold fast the confession of our hope, for He who promised is faithful. And we end the week meditating on this hope that does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Praise God, He is so good! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿค
I was thinking about it this week and today. Reminding myself throughout the week to continually go to God, asking Him to take my worries and to help me rest and trust in Him. To take it one day, one moment at a time abiding in Him and remembering He walks with me through it all.

This is a prayer for those who may be anxious, a prayer to surrender your worried heart and know that He is God and that He alone is our peace. May we truly live in this truth. I wanted to share this prayer again for those who may need it. I also needed it ๐Ÿค

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalm 55:22

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3

Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10

Truly my soul finds rest in God;

my salvation comes from him. Psalm 62:1

How precious the Word of God is, how beautiful its pages ๐Ÿ“– each day, I find myself yearning to read and learn and understand more. Which is why I’m so thankful we can pray and seek the help of the Holy Spirit as we study the scriptures ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Another prayer I try to remember is asking the Holy Spirit for help to truly live on and live out the Word of God.

My hope is that the more I sit in scripture and the more it washes over me daily, it would become engraved into my spirit. I don’t just want to know it, I don’t just want to read it, I want to live it. Help me, Holy Spirit, because without You, I can’t.

When I read Matthew 4:4 (Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'), I ask myself, “Do I live on the Word of God as I live on food?” Do I truly go to it to sustain me and to fill me? This puts much into perspective. The Word nourishes us, renews us, strengthens us. It gives us life. We survive by it. Thank You, God, for Your Word. Help us never to take it for granted. ๐Ÿค

This week I felt so encouraged and excited to read verses about our precious Holy Spirit and His work in our lives. I’ve previously shared how there was a part of my early Christian walk where I didn’t really understand the power and beauty and necessity of my relationship with the Holy Spirit, but He is absolutely imperative to our Christian life.

As Charles Spurgeon put it: “Without the Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We are as ships without wind. We are useless.”

The Holy Spirit breathes truth into every part of our minds, hearts and souls. By Him we are transformed, taught and sanctified. By Him we are comforted, strengthened, guided along the narrow path, the path of righteousness.

As scripture tells us, He is our Advocate, Teacher, Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor. He is our Seal, confirming we belong to Christ Jesus. He fills us, leads us and equips us to accomplish the will of God, He empowers us for the kingdom of God.

Through Christ, the Holy Spirit now dwells in us. He is our beautiful Companion, what an honor, a treasured gift to have fellowship with Him. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

At the end of the slides, I also included two quotes. I thought they were both beautiful and encouraging ๐Ÿค

Honestly, I was without words for days. It took me time to process all that has happened these last few weeks. My heart just hurts and it’s been hard to really grasp the reality of these tragedies. So I offer this prayer in response to all of the shootings that have occurred over the last few weeks. We need God and we need guidance on how we can better protect our children and loved ones. May God be so near. ๐Ÿค

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you. Psalm 89:14

The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He. Deuteronomy 32:4

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy. Psalm 140:12

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? Psalm 56:8

A bedtime prayer for you tonight, inspired by Psalm 91 ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

I pray you would feel the comfort of God’s love covering you and a confident peace knowing that the Lord Most High is your safe place and fortress. Under the wings of the Almighty you will find refuge and rest. ๐Ÿค
I wait for You Lord, my whole being waits, and in Your word I put my hope ๐Ÿค A declaration to the Lord from Psalm 130:5 which beautifully represents the theme of this week: waiting on the Lord.

Oh how the seasons, years, days and moments of waiting in our lives are so significant. Often accompanied with pain, especially if the waiting is prolonged, but often sweet nonetheless because of what happens in the waiting - a deepening in relationship with the Lord. A growing dependency upon Him and trusting in His plans and His timing; a refining of our hearts and a polishing of our character; a preparation for His will to be done.

We wait on His timing, His direction, His guidance, His provision, His doors to open, His doors to close, His healing, His sovereign plans in all things at all times.

In my gathering of verses, I noticed the words wait and hope were sometimes used interchangeably or the two words were paired together in a verse. So we see that waiting on Him is hoping in Him ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Waiting on God is not passive, it’s continually going to God, seeking Him and pursuing His heart. Knowing in His wonderful way, He will answer our longings. And while we wait, He teaches us, transforms us, dwells with us. Perhaps the waiting season itself is a most precious gift of God.

Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you. Psalm 33:20-22

Praying your heart would rest in the Lord’s nearness today. Praying your heart would be encouraged as you walk the path of life with Him. How glorious He makes known to us the path of life. The path of true life, everlasting life, eternal life. Oh how heaven awaits us and the pleasures that are within His right hand forevermore.

How sweet that we can live now, right now, with heaven’s perspective ๐Ÿ•Š I absolutely love daydreaming about heaven, the incredible delights, the sights, the scents, the love, the holiness, the joy. But more than anything the delight of Him!

And as we wait for heaven, daily we seek His presence and draw near to Him. This, this is what gives us deep peace and heavenly joy. Our unshakeable, overwhelming, pure joy. A joy that can never be taken away for He is our very joy, our greatest joy. It is an eternal joy that rides through the hills and valleys of this life, a joy forevermore that remains an undercurrent through the rough waves and still waters of this life ๐Ÿค

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

For many reasons, this is the prayer of my heart. I shared these above words a year ago, and they have been on my mind again this week, especially this season as my husband and I continue to walk through the adoption process.

I’m going to be honest and say going through this process is hard. So many unknowns, but truly so many opportunities to trust God entirely. To pray so hard for His will and His plans to be done. To surrender and feel peace in that act of surrender; there’s a strength when the heart continues to surrender to the perfect will of God.

All I truly want is whatever the Lord’s will is. Whatever His plans are, these are what I want embedded into my heart for this life. I thank the Holy Spirit who continues to bring me to a place where the main desire of my heart is God. My heart wants to know Him as much as I possibly can. My heart desires His plans, His ways and His timing.

I also know He is a kind Father and I do believe in laying our requests at His feet. There is power in prayer, that is certain. Over and over again I will talk to Him about certain desires I have but I keep seeking the Spirit to inform my heart on the Father’s will.

It is the most beautiful, profound freedom surrendering it all to Him and trusting in His goodness and His will no matter what that looks like. I do not have to, nor do I want to, control my life. I want Him to be the Author of it all. He sees the beginning to the end, I don’t. How this brings such comfort.

Please pray this with me if you feel the same: I submit all my plans and desires to You, my Father. I only want Your will done on earth as it is in Heaven. May You be glorified and worshipped every day of my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. amen ๐Ÿค

Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart. Psalm 40:8

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10

I often write about the heart. The heart is so important to the Lord, it’s vital. Just like the organ counterpart, our spiritual heart is vital to life. ๐Ÿค

The heart is what we will be focusing on this week for the Bible verses. These verses are convicting, beautiful and revealing. As I was researching this topic, I came across an article that I thought did a wonderful job at explaining biblically about the heart. I’m going to share part of it below to help us as we begin this week learning more about the heart and the goodness of the One who redeems our hearts, making them new, pure and beating righteously for Him.

“The Bible mentions the heart almost 1,000 times. In essence, this is what it says: the heart is that spiritual part of us where our emotions and desires dwell.

Before we look at the human heart, we’ll mention that, since God has emotions and desires, He, too, can be said to have a “heart.” We have a heart because God does. David was a man “after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22).

The human heart, in its natural condition, is evil, treacherous and deceitful. Jeremiah 17:9 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” In other words, the Fall has affected us at the deepest level; our mind, emotions and desires have been tainted by sin—and we are blind to just how pervasive the problem is.

In order for a person to be saved, then, the heart must be changed. This only happens by the power of God in response to faith. “With the heart one believes unto righteousness” (Romans 10:10). In His grace, God can create a new heart within us (Psalm 51:10; Ezekiel 36:26).

The heart is the core of our being, and the Bible sets high importance on keeping our hearts pure.” (I will link the full article in my stories)

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Throughout this week may we pray this psalm: “Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:23–24

The words Jesus spoke all throughout Matthew 6 teach us and reveal much about our relationship with the Father. When I read these verses, I am deeply encouraged to continue depending upon my Heavenly Father, trusting in His provision and providence in all things.

The description of the birds of the air paints a beautiful image that we will be taken care of. It is a reminder to live this life in the tenderness of His care and to trust in Him and keep our eyes on Him.

Looking at the birds, I feel a freedom to live within each day, rejoicing in the care and provision of our Father. Remembering He will supply all the needs for the day, and He will supply my main need, which is to be near Him and with Him.

Thinking through this as I write, I feel encouraged to slow down and take one day at a time; each day trusting in Him, leaning on Him, focusing on Him and eternity. To continually pray and ask the Holy Spirit to keep my perspective fixed not on worldly things but on Heavenly things, on the kingdom of God and the glory of God. Free to walk with peace and joy as a child of God living purely with Him and for Him.

Right before these verses, Jesus is telling us to store up treasures in Heaven. And says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Oh that my treasure is God and God alone. May we not get attached to the things of this world, but remain attached to Him. May our eyes remain on the eternal, and may our hearts store up treasures in Heaven.

Jesus, thank you for these words. Please help us each day to release any worries and depend on the Father. To lay anxieties down and lean on Him. Lord, this life can be so hard at times. Thank you for your compassion towards us when worry, fear or anxiety knocks at the door of our hearts, but to You we come and seek Your help. And to the Father, we come and rest and remember the birds of the air that He takes care of and we remember that we are of much greater value. Please also help our eyes remain fixed on the Father, His Kingdom and His glory. In Your name I pray, amen ๐Ÿค

Bible verses to encourage your heart as you begin your day ๐Ÿค I love these verses from Psalms — they are tender and honest, hopeful and intimate. They recount the faithfulness of God and remind us to trust in Him, to continually seek Him and to lay our requests before Him.

These verses beautifully point us to God’s steadfast love. I looked up steadfast and it’s defined as firmly fixed in place: immovable. His love for us is firmly fixed in place, immovable. I cannot entirely grasp the depth of His love for us, but the truth remains that He loves us more than we can comprehend and that love is steadfast, firmly fixed, immovable, unwavering.

These verses also remind us that He will guide us and lead us in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. As we submit to Him, He will show us the way we should go. May we remember to keep going to Him, praying to Him, and abiding in Him.

May we rejoice in this new day the Lord has made, recognizing that it is good because He is good. He’s with us in both the joyful moments and the hard moments, and so I rejoice in His presence and goodness today ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Do any of these morning verses especially encourage you today? Let me know if so! For me, Psalm 143:8 is special to me as it was the verse I clung to for years after my dad passed away. To this day it is one of my favorite verses that gives me encouragement to keep going. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ Also, Psalm 59:16 was especially comforting and beautiful for me to read today.

As I prayed and asked for direction for the verses this week, I felt the Holy Spirit place on my heart the theme of God as our Father and us as His children. In this moment, I felt such joy. And realized that some, including myself, may need to be reminded again of this wonderful truth this week.

Think of it … the beauty of calling Him our Father and to be called His child. What gracious love, that not only have we received salvation through Christ but also the great honor and gift to be called the Father’s children. Oh what this does for our identity and for the peace of our souls.

In Matthew 6, Jesus taught His disciples, and demonstrated to all of us as His followers as well, to pray “Our Father”.
“Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.’” (Matthew 6:9-13)

We see in the Old Testament that the word Father for God is seldomly used. But we do see it in Isaiah - which is Monday’s verse. And it’s so beautiful!

However, we see in the New Testament the description and name of God as our Father much more frequent. Which makes sense because of Jesus, the Son coming into the world.

When we really understand what it means to be a child of the Father, it transforms us entirely and builds such a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. We yearn to be near Him, to obey Him, to seek Him in all things.

Our Father is our protector and provider. He is loving, compassionate, and active in our lives. He listens to us when we talk with Him, He speaks to us, He encourages us, He is indeed a Father. We have our identity and security in Him, and we can rest in the knowledge that He cares for us and loves us. And we too, as His children, love Him with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength. (Luke 10:27)

Father, thank you that You call us Your children. May we grow deeper in our relationship with You, may our communion and intimacy with You be cultivated even greater. For we cherish You and our relationship with You! Holy Spirit, please give us greater understanding of what it means to be a child of God and help us truly live in this identity. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen. ๐Ÿค

God is near, it is Him who calms your heart and gives you strength. I pray this would be an encouragement today, knowing His presence brings a peace to your soul. He is your shield and will be with you as you keep fighting the good fight of faith.

Through Christ, we have also been given the great gift, the wonderful treasure of the Holy Spirit who will guide us and give us insight and discernment. May we be led by the Spirit and keep in step with the Spirit.

And I pray you would deeply know the love of Jesus today and every day ๐Ÿค

For the last two sentences of the prayer, I was inspired by Numbers 6:24-26 and the prayer for spiritual strength in Ephesians 3 ๐Ÿ“–

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Galatians 5:25

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19

I pray these verses strengthen our desire to seek the Lord’s face, to draw near to Him, to dwell with Him, to desire Him above all things. We are gifted another week of getting to know Him greater each and every day. This is a blessing!

May we seek Him not to gain anything other than gaining greater intimacy with Him. May we grow in greater understanding of His character and grow in greater adoration of who He is. For the more we seek Him, the more we love Him.

He is everything beautiful and wonderful and good and kind. This powerful and sovereign and holy God encourages us throughout His word to go to Him, to look to Him, to have an actual, real relationship with Him. It’s remarkable! There is no greater Gift. He is the reward.

We will begin in Acts 17. These verses are some of my very favorite verses (they are rich with insight). We were created to seek Him and are promised that when we do, we will find Him. And that “He is actually not far from each one of us, for ‘In him we live and move and have our being’”. How beautiful are these words!

After Acts, we will read verses in Psalms, Colossians, Hebrews and 1 Chronicles. Scriptures that remind us to seek Him with our whole hearts. Another one of my favorite verses I’ve included in this week - I have shared often - is Psalm 27:8. You may remember me sharing the NLT version in previous posts I’ve written. The wording of this translation stirs my heart so deeply to seek Him, to put away distractions and go to Him. I included this version as well in the graphic slides.

May we seek the God we love this week and always ๐Ÿค

A new prayer for the month of May ๐Ÿค As I was writing this prayer, the words began to weave together the theme of seeking the Lord. My heart’s desire to dwell with Him and spend time with Him is an ever-growing longing.

And how blessed we are that He knows this desire of our hearts and fulfills this longing. He dwells with us! He makes Himself known to us. It is of great joy that our mighty, wonderful God reveals Himself to us - may we be attentive and not miss it.

Some of the main ways He reveals Himself is through His Word, time spent with Him, prayer, worship, His creation and nature. Everywhere we look we can learn more about Him, how incredible to realize!

May we seek the Lord this month and always. May we yearn to gaze upon His beauty and acknowledge Him in every moment ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

This life is hard. So hard at times. Yes, we struggle and suffer. Yes, we have an enemy. But God’s hand remains on us, His eye remains on us, His love remains on us. He promises to be our Refuge and our Hiding Place. His protection as His child is a promise to us.

I wonder if once we get to Heaven … will we know or see just how much He protected us and how many times we were underneath the shadow of His wings? Will we see how He walked beside us in the fire or in the waters, will we see His hand pushing back the threatening waves that never swept over us? Oh that we are the apple of His eye! His great faithfulness, love and mercy carry us through this life.

The Book of Psalms is filled with the theme of God’s protection. Therefore, we will be in Psalms often this week. Then we will be comforted by Jesus’ words in John and also the words written by Paul to Timothy.

I am astonished and profoundly encouraged by the words Paul wrote to Timothy. Paul had suffered greatly and yet! knew and saw the protection of the Lord. He didn’t discredit the Lord’s protection because of the suffering he endured, He saw it still. In trust and faith, Paul knew the Lord would carry him safely home. It may not always look like protection to the world, but in light of eternity and in the context of God’s great love for us, we know if we are His, we are held within the mighty protection of His hand.

I pray you will be greatly encouraged this week ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ He is our Protector, we can trust Him and rest in the shadow of His wings ๐Ÿค

This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

es, Lord. You are my Lord, my God. I echo these words of David to You. And declare, with deep joy, the truth that “apart from You I have no good thing.” You are everything good and wonderful in my life. You are the beauty of my life, the purpose of my life, the meaning of my life. I am filled with gratitude that I have the immeasurable gift of getting to know You greater and greater each and every day. Any blessing I have is from the graciousness of Your loving hand. Thank You, that You are my God, and that You call me Your own. My heart is Yours always and into eternity ๐Ÿค

Please hear our prayers Lord ๐Ÿค please guide us in Your perfect will, may our ears be open to Your voice. May we submit and surrender our day to You today and always, and please Oh God, help us in making each and every day count for eternity. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:4-5

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Ephesians 5:15-17

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:9-10
